Quick Reference

Getting Started
1. Create Your Goalie Profile
When you open the app for the first time, you'll be prompted to add a goalie. Enter:
- Name — first name only is fine
- Jersey Number
- Team — optional, but useful for context across seasons
2. Start a New Season
The current hockey season is auto-selected. If you're starting at a different time of year, you can override it. Every game you track belongs to a season — career stats roll up across all of them.
3. Tracking Multiple Goalies
If you track more than one goalie — your kid plus a teammate, or two goalies on the same team — you can add additional goalie profiles and switch between them when creating a new game.

Tap New Game. Set:
- Opponent name
- Home or Away
- Goalie (if you have more than one profile)
Live Tracking
During the game you have two buttons. That's the whole interface.
- Save — your goalie stopped the shot.
- Goal Against — your goalie did not stop the shot.
Both buttons add one to Shots Faced automatically. Save % and GAA update live.
Undo
An undo bar appears at the top of the screen for 8 seconds after each tap. Tap it to immediately remove the last event. After 8 seconds, use the event log.
Editing After the Fact
Long-press any event row in the event log to change it from save to goal against (or vice versa) or to delete it entirely.
Stats Explained
Shots Faced
Every shot on net — saves plus goals against. The workload number.
Saves
Shots stopped.
Goals Against
Shots that went in.
Save % (Sv%)
Saves ÷ shots faced, expressed as a 3-decimal number (e.g., .920).
GAA
Goals against per 60 minutes of play. Lower is better.
Shutouts
Games where goals against equals zero.
Season & Career
Every completed game rolls up into your goalie's season totals automatically. Open the Season tab to see:
- Season save %, GAA, shots faced, saves, goals against, shutouts
- Per-game stat log for every game in the season
When you start a new season for the same goalie, their Career grid aggregates totals across every season you've tracked.
Tip: Career totals only build up if you keep using the same goalie profile across seasons. Create a new profile only when you're actually tracking a different goalie.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the app work offline?
Yes. All data is stored on your device — no internet required. Track at rinks with no signal.
How is GAA calculated?
GAA = (goals against ÷ minutes played) × 60. For most youth games, minutes played defaults to the full game length. You can override it on a per-game basis if the goalie was pulled or shared the net.
What if I miss a shot during a scramble?
Tap the event log after the play settles and add the missed save or goal against. You can also long-press any event to edit or delete it.
Can I track shots faced without recording every save/goal?
No — shots faced is calculated from saves + goals against. There is no separate "shot faced" button because every shot is either one or the other.
Does it track minutes played?
Yes — game length is set when you create the game (default 60 minutes for a full game, adjustable for shorter youth periods). If your goalie shared the net, edit the minutes played in the game summary.
Can I track more than one goalie?
Yes. Add multiple goalie profiles and pick the right one when you create a new game. Each goalie's career stats stay independent.
Does it sync between devices?
Not currently. Data is stored locally on your device. iCloud sync is a roadmap item.
Do I really only pay once?
Yes. $1.99, once. No subscription. No in-app purchases. The app is yours forever.
